The Old Creamery Nature Trail is being utilized by Geo Caching enthusiasts. In April 2009, the first 18 caches were hidden along the trail between Dysart and Vinton. Many more have been added since Log onto:

The Old Creamery Nature Trail connects the communities of Vinton, Garrison, and Dysart, Iowa. This former railroad bed meanders through the quiet fields of the upper midwest on a limestone/rock base. The trail is approximately 14 miles long and we do our best to maintain the trail.
There are no motorized vehicles or horses allowed on the trail without proper permits and approval from the Benton County Conservation Board orTrail Committee. All we ask is that you leave the trail in the same or better condition than when you found it.

On March 1, 2011, a $1500 donation was made to the OCNT on behalf of the Red Cedar Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.
